The Quick-Release Buckle Venous Tourniquet is an elastic band for short-duration venous constriction during blood collection, injection and IV access. The adjustable strap is positioned above the puncture site and tightened with the buckle to help make veins more visible. The quick-release mechanism allows the band to be released promptly after access is established. It is not intended for emergency control of severe bleeding.
